NHTSA 22V-024, R21B90 Original case #11722884 Dealership, Stelly Nissan of Yorktown Heights, lied about the recall eligibility of my vehicle on March 5th, 2026. When I researched my own service records, 2014 Nissan Rogue VIN is actively included in Recall 22V-024 for the electrical connector fluid-wicking defect. The franchise dealership misinformed me regarding my vehicle's eligibility and failed to physically perform the mandatory wire harness remedy. They subsequently bypassed federal compliance by illegally marking the safety recall as closed or completed in the system without executing the physical repair. I have the physical invoice dated 11/25/2022, 0.00 parts/labor and visual inspection only, which contradicts what the recall procedure was defined as. Because the dealership skipped this mandatory safety remedy, the unaddressed fluid-wicking defect has now caused severe, cascading electrical system failures across multiple dashboard components. The vehicle remains an active electrical fire hazard as described in the original 22V-024 defect report. I am filing this new complaint specifically to report Dealer Recall Non-Compliance and Enforcement Violation. I request that NHTSA compel the manufacturer to execute the physical recall remedy immediately to mitigate the fire risk. As a matter of course, it is not currently a possibility to work with either the dealership, who has ceased communication with me, or Nissan Consumer Affairs who blatantly ignored that the recall was not performed and cited it as closed, a violation of Federal Law. Vehicle has been at dealership since 3/6/2026 and I have a large collection of supporting evidence that dealership has refused to comply with NYS DMV and NYS AG requests for mediation. Patterns examined at same dealership, case-in-point, suggest that this needs to be examined further and according to the law, not via a private consumer.

The right front quick strut coil spring on our 2014 Nissan Rogue is broken. I called Nissan to ask if they would cover the repair because Rogues from 2014-2016 suffered this defect because the anti-corrosion coating was not done correctly. Nissan said our model was not covered by the recall. The broken spring was discovered during the yearly inspection, and the shop that did the inspection quoted us $840 plus tax to replace both front coil springs. I have part of the broken spring and will keep the other half once the repair is done if you need it.

While driving, I swerved slightly to avoid a dog and went into a shallow ditch less than one foot deep. There was no collision, no structural damage, and no repairs needed to the vehicle. Despite the extremely minor impact, both airbags deployed unexpectedly. This deployment was violent and occurred without a qualifying crash. I believe this indicates a faulty airbag sensor, airbag control module malfunction, or other defect in the airbag system.

Related to Recall 22V-024 (Campaign R21B9), main harness in electrical system has been corroded by chronic water intrusion into the vehicle. Water intrusion caused by defective drain plugs in front and rear of vehicle, prone by design to clog over time. Service Advisor at Stelly Nissan of Yorktown Heights has quoted me up to 10k in repair to fix components, which is not the fault of the vehicle owner. Said Advisor just passed this vehicle for NYS inspection on February 18th, 2026. Similar to above-cited campaign, electrical components in the vehicle have started to fail, e.g. radar system/lane departure, TPS, cameras and climate system. Vehicle now at risk for safety. *Please note: Year of manufacture: 2014 Place of assembly: Smyrna, Tennessee. Recall Population Failure." "My 2014 Rogue, built in Smyrna, TN, is exhibiting the exact electrical connector corrosion and 'wicking' failure described in Recall 22V-024. The current VIN population for this recall is insufficient and fails to include all affected vehicles from the Smyrna plant, leaving a documented fire hazard unaddressed. A clerical omission of your VIN does not mean the safety risk isn't present. The fact that my 2014 Smyrna-built Rogue has the exact defect described in the recall proves the NHTSA Recall Population is inaccurate for my vehicle. NYS Consumer Protection: Under the NYS Attorney General's Consumer Frauds Bureau, a manufacturer cannot ignore a known life-safety defect (fire risk) based on a clerical technicality when physical proof of the defect is provided. Dealership quoted $10,000 to repair a harness failure that is identical to the one covered under Recall 22V-024.

My husband and I were in a head on and sustained injuries to my neck, chest abdomen, and knees. Neither the driver nor the passenger airbags went off during the accident. No lights were present no warning, lights or messages prior to the accident and we were both wearing our seatbelts. I received significant whiplash, bruising, and injuries confirmed by x-rays and feel that the airbags not going off in this collision only made it worse.
